It all started when my grandma bought me my first point-and-shoot camera in middle school. During my free time, I loved to edit slideshows and short videos, which I would proudly share with my family. I graduated from UH Mānoa with a Creative Media degree, where I learned the basics of filmmaking.
This instilled in me the power of storytelling and how it can be used in everything we do. Some things I love are minimal framing, spending afternoons cooking, chilling on my longboard in small surf, and finding aesthetically pleasing things in everyday things. I love bringing creativity to everyday life.
Jack
Jack didn't always see himself as the creative type but after graduating from HPU with a mixed media degree, he interned for a wedding company where he met his business partner, Trevor. Wanting to shy away from the "cookie-cutter" style wedding videos, they decided to create their own company, "Seeking Films" where they can make wedding films rooted in authentic storytelling.
Jack is attentive and mindful, with a keen eye for detail. He’s a natural problem-solver and enjoys spending time perfecting a craft. He appreciates delicate yet flavorful dishes, anything that’s meticulously designed, and vast serene landscapes.
I was finishing up my degree when I started working for Jack’s wedding company. We were just coworkers at first but as we got to know each other… we just clicked. Although our personalities were quite different, we shared similar core life values, which grounded our relationship.
When we started traveling together, we decided to create “We Go Film”. It was initially a place to share our travel photos but once COVID hit, we were no longer able to travel… we got bored and decided to film some vlogs! Why not? During this time, we also started to experiment with a variety of video work due to weddings being shut down.
We created short videos to support local businesses and created content for others. Our style is minimal, raw, personal, and authentic. We love to see art in everything we do and stay creative. We live in Honolulu but always love to travel! Some activities we enjoy together are surfing, camping, traveling, and of course, filming.
We specialize in brand content, short profile docs, and commercials. We still create our own content on YouTube to share our life and work with brands that align with our lifestyle. We’re more low-key than your average “content creator” but hope that we can inspire others by being our most authentic selves.
